High And Medium Resolution Smart Camera Technology For Industrial Machine Vision Applications
Decision Technology is proud to announce that we are now a systems integrator for the SONY line of smart cameras. Two models currently exist:
- XCI-XS1 which offers 1280 x 1024 resolution and progressive scan
- SCI-V3 which offers 640 x 480 resolution and progressive scan
These units offer standard interfaces to a VGA monitor, Ethernet, USB, and several bits of I/O and the superior image quality of a ½ CCD imaging chip. Additionally the camera can be software or hardware triggered. Each unit is industrial hardened to meet the demands of most industrial applications without an additional enclosure.
Both units operate under the Windows XP embedded operating system allowing all the benefits of this powerful and universal operating system. As such it runs custom applications developed in Visual Basic or C++. Decision Technology has developed the means to run custom machine vision applications on these cameras that are developed in conjunction with the Matrox MIL machine vision toolbox. Such applications provide for highly specialized graphical operator interfaces and near unlimited processing capability, at affordable prices.
